Living along the Wasatch Front in Utah

The Wasatch Front is located in north central Utah, defined by the cities along the western side of the Wasatch Mountains, most of which are bordered to the west by either the Great Salt Lake or Utah Lake. At the center of the Wasatch Front is Salt Lake City, the state’s largest city and capital. The majority of the state’s population live in this region, with a total population of more than 2,000,000

The Wasatch Front includes Weber and Davis Counties which include the major cities and towns of Ogden, Layton, Kaysville, Farmington, Centerville and Bountiful.

Heading south through Salt Lake County you will find Salt Lake City and the surrounding cities and towns of North Salt Lake, West valley City, Magna, Taylorsville, West Jordan, South Jordan, Riverton, Herriman, Bluffdale, and Copperton on the west of I-15. On the east of I-15 is Salt Lake City, South Salt Lake, Millcreek, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Murray, Sandy and Draper.

The final portion of the Wasatch Front extends into Utah County and includes the cities and towns of Lehi, American Fork, Alpine, Cedar Hills, Lindon, Orem, Provo, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, Springville, Spanish Fork, Mapleton and Payson.
